Travel for many is important to a person's life goals. We travel through time as we age, and as we age we sometimes move from one physical location to another. To make these journeys safely, or with minimal hazards we need guidance. We need someone to teach travel safety, instill confidence, and develop independence. That or those persons provide crucial information needed when leaving the familiar to enter an unfamiliar environment. For me, my mother and the women of my community taught and protected us while our fathers worked and provided for us.
